What kind of game is Daily Red Pokemon?
Daily Red Pokemon is a free browser game that gives you one turn-based battle each day against Red, the trainer on Mt. Silver. On any given date, every player receives the identical squad of six random level 100 Pokémon from Gen 1 to Gen 3. Red's side never changes, so the challenge is solving a fresh team against a known opponent. You can play it here on Poke Survivor without signing up.
How do you play Daily Red Pokemon?
To play Daily Red Pokemon, look over your six Pokémon, choose one to lead and tap Challenge RED, which locks that lead in. Once it starts, attacking takes one tap on a move, and switching means tapping a teammate's portrait, then Switch in. Keyboard players can use 1 to 4 for moves, Shift plus 1 to 6 for teammates and Space or Enter to skip text.
Who is Red?
Red is the level 100 champion you face in every Daily Red Pokemon battle, and his team is the same each day. His six are Pikachu holding a Light Ball, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, all with fixed items and four fixed moves. Pikachu's Quick Attack strikes first and can finish a weakened Pokémon, so plan your lead with it in mind.
What battle rules does Daily Red use?
Daily Red Pokemon uses Gen 3 battle rules, with 17 types, no Fairy type and bag items disabled. Under those rules a move's type decides whether it is physical or special, so Fire, Water and Electric moves count as special. Your squad always totals at least 2,700 base stat, a legendary appears on about one day in eight, and you get one official battle per calendar day.
When does Daily Red Pokemon reset?
Daily Red Pokemon gives you a new team at midnight by your device's clock. Since the squad comes from your local date, friends in other time zones can briefly see a different team. Everyone on the same date shares the same six Pokémon, moves and items, and the results screen counts down to your next team.
How is Daily Red Pokemon different from Poke Survivor?
Daily Red Pokemon is turn-based, while Poke Survivor is a real-time survivor game where you only steer and attacks fire by themselves. Poke Survivor runs last a few minutes and you can replay them at once, but Daily Red gives one official battle a day. Poke Survivor players who want a slower Pokémon game built on planning can fit a Daily Red battle between runs, with nothing to download.
Where are the full Daily Red Pokemon guides?
The full Daily Red Pokemon guides are on dailyredpokemon.app, while this page holds only the battle. That site lists Red's moves and items, explains how to beat him and shows today's squad. Daily Red records live in local browser storage on one device, so do not expect a streak from this page to appear there.
Who is behind Daily Red Pokemon?
Daily Red Pokemon is an unofficial fan-made game based on Daily Red, an open source project by amoi-builds on GitHub. The game runs the open source Pokémon Showdown engine in your browser and has no affiliation with Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon names and characters belong to their respective owners.
